Lebanese army says two of its members killed in Israeli attack

BEIRUT, Oct. 03 (YPA) – The Lebanese Army announced on Thursday that a soldier in its ranks was killed as a result of the Israeli occupation targeting an army center in the city of Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon.

According to the Lebanese army’s statement, personnel present in the center responded to the source of the hostile Israeli fire.

Earlier today, the Lebanese army announced the death of one soldier and the wounding of another as a consequence of an Israeli occupation strike while carrying out an evacuation and rescue mission with the Lebanese Red Cross in Taybeh – Marjayoun, southern Lebanon.

The Israeli occupation army is attempting to advance into Lebanese land in the south, but is faced with massive resistance by Islamic resistance fighters, who are conducting numerous border operations that have resulted in losses among Israeli soldiers.
