Driver kidnapped in Aden after holding Yemen flag

ADEN, Sept. 27 (YPA) – Armed elements in the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions kidnapped a car driver in the center of the southern Yemeni city of Aden on Thursday.

Human rights sources said that the driver was kidnaped while he being raised the flag of the Republic of Yemen in the Crater area.

This came after a circular issued by the STC leaders, at the behest of the UAE, to ban the celebration of Yemeni national occasions in Aden and the rest of the southern provinces, and to ban the raising of the Yemeni flag in government institutions and streets.
