Central Bank of Yemen in Sanaa publishes new circular

SANAA, Sept. 26 (YPA) – The Central Bank of Yemen in Sanaa issued on Thursday a new circular, which included the upper limit for the selling prices of major currencies approved by the Foreign Exchange Unit.

The bank set the exchange rates as follows:

Saudi riyal to Yemeni riyal = 140 Yemeni riyals

US dollar to Yemeni riyal = 530.50 Yemeni riyals

US dollar to Saudi riyal = 3.79 Saudi riyals.

In the city of Aden and the southern and eastern provinces of Yemen, the foreign currency exchange rates against the local currency witnessed relative stability after an accelerating collapse.

According to banking sources, the average exchange rates of foreign currencies against the riyal in the city of Aden today are as follows:

US dollar = 1893 Yemeni riyals

Saudi riyal = 495 Yemeni riyals.
