About 13 UAE soldiers killed, injured in Sudan’s Nyala Airport

KHARTOUM, Sept. 25 (YPA) – About 13 officers and soldiers from the UAE forces were killed and injured during the past few days in Sudan.

“They told the families of the Emirati soldiers that their sons were killed specifically at Nyala Airport in Darfur after the Sudanese army bombed an operations room for mercenaries and their supporters,”Dr. Taj Al-Sir Osman, head of the National Strategic Center, said on Wednesday in a post on X platform.

He continued, saying, “The free world must receive more evidence of the UAE’s involvement in state terrorism outside its territory.”

Earlier in the day, the UAE Ministry of Defense admitted in a statement on its Twitter that 4 of its soldiers were killed and 9 others injured in an incident while performing their duty in the country, without revealing further details about the nature and purpose of this operation.
