UNRWA: Palestinians in Gaza have only one meal every two days

GAZA, Sept. 19 (YPA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), stated that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip can only have one meal every two days because of the Israeli blockade.

This comes in a statement issued today, Thursday, concerning the nutritional requirements of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, where the number of people displaced by Israeli attacks has reached two million.

According to data from the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and other groups, 83% of required food aid does not make it into Gaza. On average people have one meal every other day.

The agency, along with its partners, distributed high-energy biscuits to children to mitigate the effects of malnutrition.
