Light to scattered rains expected over parts of Yemen areas

SANAA, Sept. 18 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Warning expected on Wednesday rains of varying intensity in parts of the Yemeni provinces.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that scattered rains may prevail over Lahj, Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Mahweet, Hajjah, Saada and Sanaa, Dhamar, Hajjah, Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, and Hadramout.

The stated bulletin said the weather in the coastal areas will be partly cloudy to cloudy, hot and humid during the day, expecting also a chance of scattered rain on parts of the southern and western coasts.

The winds will be very fast around the Socotra Archipelago, ranging in speed between 15-35 knots, and moderate to active on the eastern and southern coasts, ranging in speed between 12-22 knots.

It called on motorists to warn due to poor horizontal visibility and crossing over ground bridges because rainfall and low clouds.
