Clear to partly cloudy weather expected in several Yemen areas

SANAA, Sept. 17 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expected generally clear to partly cloudy weather in several Yemeni provinces.

In its weather forecast, the center affirmed that rains of varying intensity would be prevailed over scattered areas of Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Rayma, Mahweet, Hajjah Dhamar, Sanaa, Saada, Amran, Bayda, Hadramout, and extending westward to parts of the highlands and Tihama plain.

The weather in the coastal areas may be partly cloudy to cloudy, relatively hot and humid during the day, with the possibility of scattered rain on parts of the eastern and southern coasts, as well as the western and the corresponding inland areas.

It added that the winds will be very fast around the Socotra Archipelago, ranging in speed between 25-40 knots, moderate to active on the eastern and southern coasts, ranging in speed between 12-22 knots.

The forecast called on motorists to drive carefully on roads and mountain slopes of the decrease in horizontal visibility due to rainfall and fog.
