WEST BANK, Sept. 11 (YPA) – Zionist settlers burned on Wednesday large areas of land with thousands of olive trees in the village of Burin, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.
Palestinian citizen Nimr Issa Al-Tirawi, a resident of the town, said: The occupation forces prevent citizens from reaching their lands to put out the fire.
Al-Tirawi stated that the fires affected thousands of olive trees and extended to large areas of land. He pointed out that the hundreds of olive trees that were affected by the fire are Roman trees, most of which have been hundreds of years old, and are located at the southern foot of the town adjacent to the bypass road.
West Bank towns surrounded by settlements are subjected to continuous attacks by Zionist settlers.
