In Video: STC militant beaten after jewelry store robbery

ADEN, Sept. 10 (YPA) – Activists from the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition, shared   video footage capturing a disgraceful end for one of the members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions.

The video, recorded by an activist from Aden, shows a STC militant, wearing a military uniform robbing a jewelry store in the Sheikh Othman district.

The footage captures the store employee pleading for help from passersby on the street after the armed man stole money and a quantity of gold at gunpoint.

The citizens managed to catch the robber and then physically attacked him.

Numerous commercial establishments in the city have been subjected to armed robbery and invasions by STC members due to the security chaos that has plagued the city since early 2016.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia have established local armed groups in Aden, with residents calling for their removal as stipulated by the Riyadh Agreement signed between the “Hadi Government” and the STC in early November 2019.
