Senegal’s PM calls for isolation of “Israel”

WORLD, Sept. 01 (YPA) – Senegal’s Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of continuing the war in Gaza to maintain his political power, claiming that Netanyahu is willing to walk over thousands of bodies to stay in office and avoid facing justice in Israel.

Sonko called for the political isolation of “Israel” as a means to end what he described as “barbarism” endorsed by some Western countries.

He emphasized the need to gather all those who condemn the injustice and work towards a political solution that isolates “Israel”.

Sonko criticized Western countries for their support of Israel and described the ongoing Israeli operations in Palestinian territories as a form of genocide.

He condemned the suffering of Palestinians since the establishment of Israel in 1948.

Sonko highlighted the divisions among Muslim and African countries that hinder a unified response to the crisis.

He noted that while some countries, like South Africa and certain Latin American nations, have shown clear support for Palestinians, many so-called Islamic countries have remained silent.

He emphasized that, “on the contrary”, that those who preaching democracy and human rights are often the same countries that support Israel and provide it with military aid.
