Pro-Palestine protest held in Taiz

TAIZ, Aug. 31 (YPA) – A massive demonstration took place on Friday in Taiz province, which is under the control of Saudi-led coalition, condemning the escalation of the genocide crimes committed by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinians in Gaza and its expansion of terror towards the West Bank.

Thousands of citizens gathered in al-Tahrir Street in the city center in response to a call from political parties and factions loyal to the coalition, as well as to a call from Palestinian resistance factions.

The demonstrators chanted slogans hailing the Palestinian resistance fighters.

Protesters held banners with messages such as “Gaza the steadfast… a force that shook the enemy’s entity and shattered the illusions of normalization with it.

“The complicity of the international community with the massacre in Gaza has encouraged the occupation to expand its terror towards the West Bank,” Another banner read.

The Zionist occupation began a wide and ongoing military operation last Wednesday in the provinces of Tulkarm, Jenin, and Tubas in northern West Bank, the largest since 2002, resulting in the arrest of dozens of Palestinians.

With American support, Israel is waging a war on Gaza that has resulted in more than 134,000 Palestinian casualties, mostly children and women, and over 10,000 missing under the rubble.

The spread of famine has led to the death of dozens of citizens in one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises.
