SANAA, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The Leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, stressed on Thursday the importance of urban planning to avoid natural disasters, pointing out that random construction causes many problems, one of which is disasters.
In his weekly speech this evening, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi called for paying attention to agriculture, seizing the opportunity of the blessing of rains, and taking care of cultivation and afforestation.
He added, “It is important to plan more irrigation canals, dams, and barriers and choose the appropriate places for them so that they do not harm the people.”
In his speech, Sayyed Abdulmalik touched on the damage in most of the provinces as a result of the torrents due to the heavy rains that Yemen witnessed recently, expressing his sincere condolences and sympathy to all the families who lost victims in the floods disaster.
