Zionist settlers establish new settlement outpost south of Jericho

WEST BANK, Aug. 25 (YPA) – Zionist settlers established on Sunday a new settlement outpost near the city of Jericho in the eastern West Bank.

Local sources reported that the Zionist settlers stormed the Deir Qarantal area, southwest of Jericho, and set up a tent there.

Last Thursday, settlers established a settlement outpost near Al-Auja Spring, north of the city of Jericho.

The pace of establishing settlement outposts in the West Bank has increased since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

During the first half of this year, 17 settlement outposts were established in the West Bank, and in the same period, the Israeli occupation authorities legalized 11 new settlement outposts.
