Sanaa congratulates Hamas Movement to appoint Yahya Sinwar as head

SANAA, Aug. 07 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mohammed Ali al-Houth commented on Tuesday the decision of the Hamas Movement to appoint Yahya Sinwar as the head of the movement’s political bureau, succeeding the martyr Ismail Haniyeh.

“We congratulate Hamas on the selection of Yahya Sinwar as its leader, as he is known for his strength and his departure from the Arab norm.” al-Houthi said in his post on X.

He added: “The martyred leader, referring to Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, used to say that the Jews choose the strong to head their government, unlike the Arab regimes.”

Eearlier, Sanaa had announced in more than one occasion its readiness to host the leaders of the Hamas movement after the increase in American pressure on the countries in which Hamas leaders are present.
