HADRAMOUT, Aug. 04 (YPA) – President of the “Presidential Leadership Council” loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, Rashad Al-Alimi, left on Sunday the city of Mukalla, the center of Hadramout province, for the Saudi capital, Riyadh, without announcing the unprecedented surprises that he promised to the people of the province upon his arrival at Al-Rayyan Airport last week.
Al-Alimi had made vague promises that he described as “unprecedented surprises in the history of Hadramout,” following his arrival on a Saudi plane on his second visit to the province, which was met with widespread rejection by the province’s political and tribal components.
Activists from Hadramout described Al-Alimi’s visit as a failure, amid widespread dissatisfaction with the false promises being made for the second time.
The activists pointed out that Al-Alimi was planning to visit the PetroMasila Oil Exploration Company, but the tribesmen set up a number of checkpoints on the roads, as a result of which many of the programs scheduled for him during the visit were cancelled.
