SANAA, July 17 (YPA) – The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in Sanaa, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, warned humanitarian organizations on Wednesday against carrying out political and sabotage actions under the umbrella of humanitarian work.
This came during Al-Hamli’s meeting with representatives, officials, and employees of international and local organizations operating in the provinces of Hodeida, Hajjah, and Rayma.
Al-Hamli stressed the importance of organizations improving their work and responsibilities towards the Yemeni people, noting that the Council seeks to localize humanitarian work.
He pointed out that “all organizations are under periodic evaluation by the Council for all their performance, whether positive or negative,” indicating that any organization would be excluded if its performance is negative and it does not provide any service to the Yemeni citizen except paying its operational expenses.
Al-Hamli emphasized the importance of awareness and a sense of responsibility towards the country on the part of all employees of organizations, especially local ones, and not yielding to material temptations and sacrificing the security and safety of the country.
