MUSCAT, July 16 (YPA) – The Sultanate of Oman announced on Monday evening, that an oil tanker flying the Comoros flag had capsized in an area overlooking the Arabian Sea, 25 nautical miles southeast of the Ras Madrakah area in the Omani state of Duqm.
The Maritime Security Center added through its official account on the X platform, “This required activating the search and rescue operation in coordination with the relevant authorities,” without further details.
Duqm, located in the Al Wusta Governorate on the eastern coast of the Sultanate of Oman and overlooking the Arabian Sea, has a strategic economic location, according to Omani information.
