After nine years of closure, work begins to rehabilitate Taiz International Airport

TAIZ, July 12 (YPA) -The Sana’a government began on Thursday fieldwork to rehabilitate Taiz International Airport, preparing for its reopening after nine years of closure due to the war.

The Cleaning and Improvement Fund affiliated with the Sanaa government posted several pictures and news about the start of removing debris from the airport’s premises

The fund’s director, Talal Al-Sufi, stated, “Many of the fund’s teams, which include dozens of workers, equipment, and machinery, are working like a beehive to complete the assigned tasks efficiently and as soon as possible.”

Earlier this month, the Sanaa government announced the launch of the rehabilitation project for Taiz International Airport, which serves a third of Yemen’s population.
