Governor of Aden: Coalition crimes against civilians have reached their peak in southern provinces

SANAA, July 12 (YPA) – The Governor of Aden province, affiliated with the Sanaa government, Tariq Sallam, called on Thursday for an end to the crimes of murder, kidnapping, and forced disappearance against people in the city of Aden controlled by the Saudi-led coalition since the beginning of 2016.

The Governor of Aden confirmed that the policy of the coalition and its factions has reached its peak of killing, torture, kidnapping, and forced disappearance against thousands of civilians in the city.

He stated that Aden and the rest of the southern provinces are drowning in chaos, terrorism, and tribal and regional conflicts created by the coalition between the people of one homeland, which reflect the malicious goals of the coalition’s policy.

Salam considered the massive wave of anger witnessed in Aden against the backdrop of the kidnapping and torture of Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashal Al-Jaadani by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions as a result of the policy of crime and terrorism pursued by the STC factions against the people of Aden and the southern provinces.

He stated that “the tribes of Abyan, and all the tribes in the southern provinces, are more concerned today than ever before with deterring violations and stopping the series of killings that have claimed the lives of thousands of innocent people.”

The Governor of Aden announced his support for all the steps announced by the Abyan tribes and the free southern tribes in pressuring the coalition factions to release Ashal and all those detainees in the prisons of the UAE-funded factions.
