Individuals involved in American spy network given 30 days to contact Security & Intelligence Service
SANAA, July 01 (YPA) – The President of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Monday directed the Security and Intelligence Service to grant a 30-day deadline to those who initiate voluntary cooperation with the Security Service from those who had a connection or cooperation with the US-Israeli spy network.
This came during the meeting of the Supreme Political Council today, in which it listened to the report submitted by the Chief of the Security and Intelligence Service, Major General Abdulhakim Al-Khaiwani, about the American-Israeli spy network that was arrested, and the media announced some of its confessions.
In the meeting, President Al-Mashat confirmed that after the specified period has passed, “everyone who was involved in treason will bear all the consequences, and the maximum penalties will be taken against them in accordance with what the Constitution approved for every traitor to his country and homeland.”
The report submitted by the Security and Intelligence Service, supported by documents and evidence, explained that Yemen has been targeted for a long time by the American and Israeli intelligence services and that this targeting continued after the revolution of September 21, 2014, and the serious direction of the Yemeni leadership to build a strong, free, and independent Yemen.
According to the report, despite the end of the American diplomatic presence and the closure of the embassy in Sanaa, the American intelligence services continued their work through the espionage network and its various arms, using various means and methods through agents, spies, mercenaries, and organizations.
The report presented a detailed explanation of the plans and strategies that the enemy worked on through various paths and projects that were funded and directed to target the Yemeni people under various covers in the military, economic, health, political, educational, cultural, and other fields.
In the meeting, the Council praised the great achievement achieved by the security services, pointing out that this achievement is a victory for all the free people of the world and exposes America’s aggressive policies and espionage diplomacy towards peoples in many countries.
The Council emphasized the importance of purging state institutions of any systematic infiltrations and acts of sabotage, and the importance of moving towards building a strong Yemeni state in the region, building a safe homeland for all, and cutting off the hand of anyone who tries to harm Yemen and its stability.
