Scattered showers expected to prevail over different areas of Yemen

SANAA, June 26 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology expected scattered showers prevailing over in parts of the provinces of Yemen.

The center indicated, in its weather bulletin on Wednesday, the rains may fall over different areas of the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Bayda, Dhamar, Rayma, Sanaa, Mahweet, Amran, Hajjah, Saada and the Lahj Heights, in addition, Abyan, Bayda, Marib, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra.

It expected also the possibility of strong winds around the Socotra Archipelago, reaching a maximum speed of 45 knots, and moderate to active on the eastern and southern coasts.

The maximum temperatures range between 38 – 44 degrees Celsius in the desert areas and 36 – 41 degrees on the coastal areas.

The bulletin warned fishermen and seafarers of turbulent seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago and the eastern and southern coasts.
