SANAA, June 23 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected scattered rains to fall in a number of provinces of Yemen.
In its weather forcoast on Sunday, the center affirmed that the rains may fall on parts of the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Bayda, Dhamar, Raymah, Sanaa, Mahweet, Amran, Hajjah, Saada and Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa, as well as Hadramout and Mahra.
It pointed out that the a heat-wave would sweep the desert areas, where maximum temperatures range between 39 to 45 degrees Celsius and 35 to 40 degrees Celsius on the plains and coastal areas.
The center expected that the winds would be strong around the Socotra Archipelago, reaching a maximum speed of 35 knots, and moderate to brisk winds on the eastern and southern coasts.
