Pro-Palestine protesters intend to besiege White House

WASHINGTON, June 08 (YPA) – Pro-Palestine activists demanding an end to the war in Gaza and American support for the Zionist entity plan to besiege the White House during a protest over the weekend.

This led to additional security measures being taken, including the erection of a fence.

Advocacy groups and activists such as the women’s movement Code Pink and the Council on American-Islamic Relations said on Friday that demonstrations were scheduled for Saturday, marking the eight-month anniversary of the Israeli war in Gaza, which claimed the lives of tens of thousands and caused a humanitarian crisis with widespread hunger and destruction.

A US Secret Service spokesman said, “In preparation for this weekend’s events in Washington, D.C., in which large crowds are likely to gather, additional public safety measures have been taken near the White House complex.”
