Pro-STC judges impose arbitrary practices on lawyers in Aden

ADEN, May 20 (YPA) – A document issued by the Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority, Judge Nazem Khamis Bawazir, in Aden, which is under the control of Saudi-led coalition, revealed that several lawyers have been subjected to arbitrary measures by some judges affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).

The document indicated that pro-STC judges are using their authority to insult lawyers.

It also showed complaints submitted by lawyers about being prevented by some judges from pleading before them or attending prosecution investigations with their clients, in addition to using their authority to insult, expel, and imprison lawyers from sessions.

Judge Bawazir called on judges to treat lawyers well and enable them to perform their legally guaranteed work.
