Torrents water cause closure of schools in Shabwa

SHABWA, May 06 (YPA) – The effects of the depression affecting Shabwa governorate led to the flow of torrents into schools in Osailan district, prompting the administrations of those schools to close them.

According to a media source, torrents raided the schools of Hawila and Umm Othaim, which prompted the directorate’s education office and school administrations to announce their closure.

The governorate witnessed demands to protect those schools in order to preserve the safety of students and public facilities, after the local authority in Shabwa turned a blind eye to what was happening.

Flood waters have been flowing in Osailan district since the end of last April, and the atmosphere is still prepared for more torrents to flow due to the weather conditions.
