US dollar exceeds barrier of 1,690 riyals in Aden, southern provinces

SANAA, May 04 (YPA) – The city of Aden and the southern and eastern provinces under the control of the Saudi-led coalition have witnessed instability in the exchange rates of foreign currencies against the riyal, between rises and declines, since the beginning of this week.

Banking sources said on Saturday that the selling price of the dollar in Aden and the southern and eastern provinces recorded 1,691 riyals, while the price of the Saudi riyal reached 445 Yemeni riyals.

The sources indicated that the dollar exchange rate in Sanaa and the provinces under the control of the Supreme Political Council remained stable at 532.5 riyals to the dollar and 140.30 riyals to the Saudi riyal.
