Meteorology issues alerts on unstable weather conditions

SANAA, May 04 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology issued on Saturday important alerts to residents regarding unstable weather conditions.

In its weather forecast, the center expected continued rains of varying intensity in various areas of the provinces of Socotra, Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Bayda, Abyan, Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Jawf and Marib.

It also expected, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain will fall on parts of Sanaa, Amran, Saada, Raymah, Mahweet, Hajjah, Dhamar and Aden.

The winds are active east and center of the Gulf of Aden and around the Socotra Archipelago, the forecast pointed out, with hot weather prevailing on the coastal plains and desert areas during the day.

It warned against the decrease in horizontal visibility on mountain roads due to rainfall or fog formation.
