Saudi Arabia seizes one of strategic areas from STC north of Aden

ADEN, April 27 (YPA) – The Saudi-funded factions “Dera Al-Watan” have imposed full military control over the most important strategic districts located northwest of the city of Aden, which are under the control of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions.

Informed media sources confirmed that the Dera Al-Watan factions, led by the Salafist leader Bashir al-Mudharibi, who is from the Al-Sabiha area, seized the Tor Al-Baha district, west of the city of Al-Houta, the center of Lahj province, overlooking the Al-Shaab and Al-Buraiqa areas in Aden, from the “Fourth Brigade Hazm” factions funded by the UAE.

The sources indicated that Saudi Arabia is seeking to encircle the STC factions in Aden and Lahj, considering the Saudi moves as a pre-emptive step for any upcoming escalations from the STC against the head of the “Leadership Council,” Rashad Al-Alimi, in Aden.
