Russian frigate equipped with “hypersonic” missiles enters Mediterranean

MOSCOW, April 14 (YPA) – The Russian Ministry of Defense said on Sunday that a Russian Navy frigate equipped with “Kingal” hypersonic missiles entered the Mediterranean Sea through the Suez Canal as part of planned exercises.

The Ministry stated in a statement that the frigate “Marshal Shaposhnikov” will continue to perform the tasks assigned to it under an exploratory plan, according to Reuters news agency.

The frigate “Marshal Shaposhnikov” of the Russian fleet left the port of Massawa in Eritrea after visiting it during its long sea voyage last week, according to Russian media.
