Russia accuses US of being behind Moscow attacks

MOSCOW, March 26 (YPA) – Russia held on Tuesday America, Britain and Ukraine responsible for the attack on the Crocus City concert hall near the Russian capital, Moscow, which killed at least 139 people.

“The United States, Britain and Ukraine get behind the attack on the Crocus City concert hall near Moscow,” the Russian “TASS” news agency quoted Alexander Bortnikov, director of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).

While Ukraine denied Russian accusations of involvement in the attack, for which ISIS claimed responsibility. Western countries said their intelligence indicated that ISIS-K, the Afghan branch of the Islamic State, was responsible for the attack.

Russia also questioned US assertions that ISIS was responsible for the armed “Moscow attack.”
