UAE turns Aden port into swamp of stagnant water

ADEN, March 16 (YPA) – Activists on Social media shared on Saturday shocking pictures of the port of Aden, 9 years after the coalition has taken control of the city in the second half of 2015.

The pictures, which were published by the “Sons of Aden” platform, showed the bad situation of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions-controlled port.

The pictures displayed that the port had become merely a swamp of stagnant water, amid accusations against the UAE of destroying the port and transforming it from a global port into a secondary port with limited capabilities.

The platform confirmed that the UAE has set its eyes on Yemeni ports, including the port of Aden, not to invest in it, but to eliminate its international economic and commercial importance.
