WORLD, March 07 (YPA) – China’s foreign minister said Thursday that Beijing and Moscow had created a “new paradigm” for great power relations, affirming that China will be a global force for peace and stability.
“China and Russia have set a new paradigm for major power relations that is completely different from the old Cold War era,” Wang Yi said at a press conference in Beijing, adding that bilateral ties rested on “the basis of non-alignment, non-confrontation and non-targeting of third parties”
Wang called for strengthening the role of the United Nations rather than weakening it.
He added that his country and Russia will move forward in enhancing multilateral international cooperation, supporting the plurality of real poles, a UN-centered international system, and maintaining regional and global security and stability.”
