BEIRUT, March 02 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah announced on Friday that it shot down an Israeli occupation drone in Wadi Al-Aziya, south of the country.
“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance shot down an “Israeli” army drone in Wadi Al-Aziya,” Hezbollah said in a statement.
Moreover, Hezbollah’s fighters targeted a gathering of “Israeli” enemy soldiers around the “Ramim” barracks with rocket weapons, as well as the Baghdadi site with rocket weapons, achieving direct hits.
Hezbollah said earlier, on Monday, it had shot down an Israeli Hermes 450 drone, using a surface-to-air missile, over the Iqlim Al-Tuffah area, near Nabatieh in south Lebanon.
It stated in its statement that the Israeli aircraft was seen falling with the naked eye.
Hezbollah asserted that its fighters would relentlessly surveil and counter hostile aircraft and thwart them from achieving their aggressive goal.
