Dozens of Palestinian civilians killed, injured by Israeli bombing in Gaza

GAZA, Feb. 27 (YPA) – Dozens of Palestinian civilians were killed and injured on Tuesday, in the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 144th consecutive day.

Israeli warplanes, artillery, and naval vessels carried out a series of strikes on various areas in the Strip, focusing on Gaza City and Rafah Governorate. Meanwhile, the frontlines in the Khan Yunis area witnessed clashes and intense gunfire with heavy machine guns.

Israeli naval vessels targeted coastal areas in the south of the Gaza Strip with artillery shelling. Additionally, neighborhoods such as Al-Daraj, Al-Zaytoun, and Al-Sabra in Gaza City witnessed a series of Israeli airstrikes resulting in the deaths and injuries of many civilians, including children and women.

Israeli artillery also targeted Tel Al-Hawa and Deir Al-Balah in the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported injuries among civilians due to the Israeli bombing of a house in Deir Al-Balah city in central Gaza.

The sources added that nine civilians were killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting a house belonging to the Al-Zatma family near the Kuwaiti Hospital in the center of Rafah city.

Last night, At least four civilians were killed and dozens were injured by Israeli occupation live bullets and ongoing airstrikes on several areas west of the city of Gaza.

Medical sources reported that Israeli occupation military tanks intensively targeted scores of civilians who were waiting for aid to arrive on the Harun al-Rashid road – the coastal road in the Sheikh Ajlin area – west of Gaza City, resulting in the killing of four persons and causing others multiple injuries.

In Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, at least three persons, including a woman and a child, were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house near the Kuwaiti Hospital in the center of the city.

Furthermore, scores of civilians were further killed and others were wounded by an Israeli drone in the middle of the new camp, west of Nuseirat.

Civil defense crews and citizens retrieved the bodies of five people from under the rubble of a house that was bombed in the town of Al-Qarara, in the northeast of Khan Yunis.

Medical sources said that the toll of the ongoing occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has risen to 29,782 martyrs and 70,782 injured.
