OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Feb. 19 (YPA) – Heavy clashes erupted in the early hours of Monday between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli occupation forces in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
Palestinian sources reported that several military vehicles stormed the town, leading to confrontations between Palestinian youth and Israeli occupation forces, who fired live ammunition.
The Israeli forces also conducted search-and-sweep operations in several neighborhoods of the town.
Moreover, the occupation forces arrested five civilians after conducting extensive raids on their homes, breaking down doors, and ransacking their contents.
They also besieged the Khazemiyah neighborhood while continuing to reinforce military presence in the town, supported by military bulldozers.
Additionally, they threw smoke grenades and distributed threat leaflets to residents in the vicinity of the towns of Jaba’, Arraba, Bir al-Basha, and al-Zababdeh.
Israeli bulldozers began vandalizing properties and vehicles and destroyed vendors’ stalls next to the Education Directorate in the town.
