Editor-in-chief of The Economist: US sends weapons to Ukraine, but only Ukrainians are the ones being killed

WORLD, Feb. 14 (YPA) – Minton Beddoes, the editor-in-chief of The Economist, said that aiding and financing Ukraine is the cheapest possible way for the United States to enhance its security and counter Putin.

In an interview on “The Daily Show,” Beddoes pointed out that the reason fighting in Ukraine is highly beneficial for the United States is that “aiding and financing Ukraine is the cheapest possible way for the United States to enhance its security.”

She added: “The fighting is happening in Ukraine, Ukrainians are the ones being killed, and the United States and Europe are only providing them with weapons. By doing so, we counter (Russian President Vladimir) Putin.”

Biden previously described the aid provided to Ukraine and Israel as a “smart investment” that will yield benefits for future generations, and he urged Congress not to interrupt arms supplies to Ukraine.
