US State Department: Exchange agreement between Tel Aviv and Hamas is still possible

WORLD, Feb. 14 (YPA) – US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said that Washington believes that an agreement for a prisoner exchange between the Israeli occupation and Hamas is still possible.

Miller added in his statements on Tuesday that Washington has received a commitment from Tel Aviv to allow a shipment of grains sufficient to feed 1.5 million people in Gaza.

He pointed out that the United States urges the occupation to avoid targeting journalists.

Miller affirmed that America seeks a UN mission to assess the situation in northern Gaza as soon as possible.

He stressed that the priority is to ensure that the innocent in Gaza continue to receive humanitarian aid from America and others.

The occupation persists in committing its crimes on the 131-day in the Gaza Strip, as it renews shelling on various areas, especially on the western and southern areas of Khan Yunis city in the south of the Strip.
