South Africa: We are not free until the Palestinians are free

CAPE TOWN, Feb. 12 (YPA) – South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said on Monday that his country “is not completely free unless Palestine gets freedom.”

Ramaphosa stressed that the majority of his country’s people and government follow in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela and support the Palestinians.

The South African president said among the football fans in a match called “For Humanity” that hosted the Palestinian national team in Cape Town, “We are following in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela, who told us and taught us that our freedom will not be complete until the freedom of the Palestinians is also achieved.”

Ramaphosa explained that “the majority of the people of his country, as well as the government and the ruling African National Congress, support the struggle of the Palestinian people for freedom.”
