Shura Council in Sanaa blesses targeting of American destroyer in Red Sea

SANAA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – The Shura Council in Sanaa hailed the armed forces’ operation that targeted the American destroyer “USS Greely” on Wednesday and the previous operations in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and Bab al-Mandab in support of the oppressed Palestinian people.

In its meeting today, the members of the Council supported the continuation of operations in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and Bab al-Mandab until the declared goals are achieved, the aggression is stopped, the Zionist siege on the Gaza Strip is lifted, and humanitarian and relief materials are allowed to enter the Strip.

They renewed their support for what was proposed by the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, that the solution to the return of shipping in the Red Sea is in the hands of America, which is represented by its pressure on the Zionist entity to stop the aggression against the Palestinian people and accept the conditions of Palestinian resistance as just and right.

The Shura Council praised the operations of the Yemeni armed forces, represented by the naval forces, and their commitment to the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council related to securing the movement of ships in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab and preventing ships heading only to the occupied Palestinian ports.
