Meteorology issues new forecast about weather conditions

SANAA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology once again expected relatively cold weather in the various provinces of Yemen.

In its weather forecast on Wednesday, the center affirmed that the cold wave may be hit Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda, with the possibility of fog forming over parts of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea and Lahj.

The forecast also expected the possibility of scattered rain falling over parts of the provinces of Hajjah, Mahwee, Dhamar, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz and Lahj.

It reported that winds will be light to moderate speed on the Socotra Archipelago, the western and southern coasts, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, ranging its speeds between 10-20 knots.

The forecast alerted citizens, especially children and the elderly, of the cold weather in the above-mentioned areas.
