Biden calls Trump ‘current president’

WORLD, Jan. 28 (YPA)- President Joe Biden referred to his predecessor, Donald Trump, as the “current president” during a speech delivered at a Democratic Party dinner in South Carolina on Saturday evening.

In his remarks, Biden stated, “Soon we will see real evidence that American consumers are regaining real confidence in the economy. You know who will see that: Donald Trump. He said he wants the economy to collapse this year… the current president… forgive me, Lord.”

Biden acknowledged that some statements from his competitor provoked his anger and asked those present to forgive him for losing his temper. Later, Biden again referred to Trump as the former president, emphasizing that “no one should wish for the collapse of their country’s economy.”

The 81-year-old president faced online mockery after delivering a speech where he uttered a series of words instead of a coherent sentence and mixed up ministers in his government in another speech.

Nevertheless, White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre asserts that the president is in good mental health.
