GAZA, Jan. 28 (YPA) – Several Palestinian citizens were reported killed early Sunday morning, following the shelling by Israeli occupation aircraft and artillery in various areas in Khan Yunis and other locations in the south and west of Gaza City.
Palestinian sources reported that a number of citizens were killed and others injured in artillery shelling targeting the Al-Amal neighborhood in Khan Yunis.
Israeli occupation aircraft also carried out a series of airstrikes on the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood in the southwest of Gaza City and the western areas of the city, resulting in the death and injury of several citizens, including children and women. The occupation artillery and aircraft also targeted areas in the northern Gaza Strip.
Sources indicate that there are still 30 unidentified bodies in the morgue at the Nasser Medical Complex that have not been buried, while the residents were forced to bury 150 bodies in the complex’s yard due to the occupation’s siege.
According to local health authorities, the Israeli occupation committed 18 massacres during the last 24 hours against civilian families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 174 fatalities and 310 injuries.
In a preliminary toll, the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has resulted in the death of 26,257 individuals, the majority of whom are innocent civilians, and 64,797 injuries.
