Cold wave anticipated to hit several provinces in Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 16 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has anticipated cold weather in several provinces of Yemen during the 24 hours.

The center said in its weather bulletin the atmosphere may be cold in Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda during the next 24 hours.

The bulletin indicated that Hajjah, Mahwit, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Jawf, Marib, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra will be targeted with the cold weather.

It also expected moderate to active winds on the western coasts, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and around the Socotra Archipelago, ranging its speeds between 15 and 25 knots.

The bulletin warned citizens, especially the elderly, children and patients, in the mountainous areas and internal plateaus, of the cold weather.
