WORLD, Jan. 14 (YPA) – Pro-Palestinian protesters tried to tear down a two-meter-high fence near the White House in Washington and threw empty bottles at police, Media reported.
On Saturday, Washington witnessed a large protest in support of a ceasefire in Gaza. The demonstrators marched through the streets of the city and stopped near the White House. Some activists tried to storm the fence installed at the White House. But the police forces there were reinforced, and protesters threw toys and bottles at them.
Meanwhile, a police helicopter flew overhead, on the ground and protesters lit smoke bombs.
In London, police arrested nine participants in a pro-Palestinian march on Saturday in the British capital.
