UAE-backed factions impose curfew in Mocha

TAIZ, Jan.11 (YPA) – The UAE-backed factions imposed a curfew on citizens last night in the coastal city of Mocha, Taiz province,  local sources reported.

According to the sources, the curfew imposed on citizens took place in conjunction with the military operation carried out by Sanaa forces targeting an American ship that was providing support to the Zionist entity.”

The sources said that the pro-UAE factions, led by Tariq Saleh, fired heavily in an attempt to confront the missiles and drone launched by Sanaa forces towards the sea.

Citizens heard the sound of explosions at sea, the sources added.

The same sources affirmed the UAE-backed factions are still living in a state of alert and they prevented citizens’ movement in the vicinity of the port of Mocha or the Corniche coast, in addition to issuing a warning to fishermen not to go to the sea until further notice.

“The UAE-backed factions fear that fishermen will deliver information to Sana’a forces about the situation in the coasts of Mocha and Al-Khawkha, which are under their control, in light of the popular support shown by citizens to Sanaa forces’ operations against Israel-linked ships in support for the Palestinian people,” according to the sources.

It should be noted that the coalition-backed factions in Yemen have announced their engagement, along with the United States and Britain, in countering the attacks carried out by Sanaa against Israeli ships in support of the Palestinian people.
