Al-Mashat makes offer to America in order to avoid escalation in Red Sea

SANAA, Jan. 06 (YPA) -The head of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mahdi al-Mashat, issued an important call to the US in order to avoid the Yemeni response to the US attack that targeted Yemeni naval personnel in the Red Sea.

In a speech to a number of commanders of the armed forces and security forces in Hodeidah province on Saturday, Al-Mashat called on the United States to hand over its soldiers responsible for the death and loss of 10 members of the Yemeni naval forces last Sunday to trial in Yemen.

He said Washington should rewrite its story by abandoning the arrogance with which Washington deals with Yemen and the world.

Al-Mashat criticized the US insistence on defending Israeli ships in the Red Sea instead of addressing the causes of the problem by stopping the aggression and blockade on Gaza.
He explained that preventing Israel-linked ships from crossing the Red Sea is Yemen’s choice to impose peace for the Palestinian people in Gaza, as opposed to the American choice to commit crimes against the Palestinian people.

Al-Mashat reiterated Yemen’s firm position to defend the Palestinian people against the crimes of genocide practiced by the Zionists, stressing that Yemen’s operations to prevent Israeli-linked ships will not cease unless the aggression and blockade on Gaza are stopped.

The head of the Supreme Political Council said that the United States has launched a new phase of confrontations with Yemen in the Red Sea through its aggression against members of the Yemeni naval forces.
