11 tons of expired foodstuffs destroyed in Sanaa

SANAA, Jan. 04 (YPA) – The Bureau of Industry and Trade in the capital Sanaa destroyed 11 tons and 740 grams of expired foodstuffs unfit for human consumption.

The director of the Industry Office, Majed al-Sada, explained that the destruction process was carried out in accordance with legal procedures, and with the participation of a member of the prosecution of industry and commerce, indicating that the damaged goods included yogurt and various juices.

He stressed the continuation of field control campaigns carried out by the industry Bureau and its branches in the directorates on foodstuffs and commodities, price control, trade violations, confiscation and destruction of finished goods.
