Hamas comments on assassination of Al-Arouri in Beirut

GAZA, Jan. 02 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced the assassination of the deputy head of the movement’s political bureau, Saleh Al-Arouri, in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Tuesday.

In the movement’s first official response to the assassination of Al-Arouri, the Hamas political bureau’s member, Izzat al-Rishq, said, “The cowardly assassinations carried out by the Zionist occupation against the leaders and symbols of our Palestinian people inside and outside Palestine will not succeed in breaking the will and steadfastness of our people or undermining the continuation of their valiant resistance.”

He added that this coward act proves once again the abject failure of this enemy to achieve any of its aggressive goals in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, an Israeli occupation drone, targeted a Hamas office in the Mushrifiyah area in  the Lebanese capital, Beirut, leading to the martyrdom of Al-Arouri and two other leaders of the Al-Qassam Brigades.
