818 civilians killed, injured in Saudi attacks on Yemen’s border areas in 2023

SAADA, Jan. 02 (YPA) – Official statistics revealed on Tuesday a significant death toll among civilians due to Saudi attacks on Yemen’s border areas in 2023.

Dr. Abdullah Musarra’, director of Razih Rural Hospital in Saada province, confirmed in a press statement on Tuesday that the Saudi bombing on border districts has resulted in 518 victims, including 64 martyrs and 454 wounded, during the past year.

“We receive no less than 150 cases daily in all sections from the border areas,” Musarra’ said, pointing to the difficulties and great pressure caused by the Saudi-led coalition’s siege on the country and the large number of arrival cases.

For his part, the official in charge of medical facilities in the border Sheda district, Salem Mufreh, said: “We received more than 50 martyrs and 250 injured during the past year.”

It is worth noting that Saudi attacks continue to target Yemeni villages and border areas in an escalation that may threaten the current path of calm.
