GAZA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Hamas movement, said on Sunday that the Brigades fighters shot down a Skylark-2 reconnaissance aircraft that was on an intelligence mission for the Zionist enemy in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.
“Al-Qassam Brigades shot down a Skylark-2 reconnaissance [drone] that was on an enemy intelligence mission in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip,” the group said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, Al-Qassam Brigades said that their fighters targeted an Israeli enemy Apache helicopter south of the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City with a “SAM 7” missile.
Moreover, Al-Qassam said that its fighters also targeted Zionist special forces east of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood with explosive devices and shells, clashed with them with machine guns, and hit two gatherings of the occupation vehicles and troops in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, with mortar shells.
They also targeted five Israeli occupation vehicles in the Al-Tuffah and Al-Daraj areas with “Shawaz” devices and “Al-Yassin 105” shells.
